Zeliox Neo 3600: Your Mobile Power FAQs
It's much more than just a battery—it's an all-in-one power system for your vehicle or off-grid setup. Think of it as combining a powerful battery, a power outlet (inverter), a charging system, and a solar controller all into one compact box. It takes the hassle out of buying and wiring separate components.
The Zeliox Neo 3600 is a modern, superior alternative to a noisy generator.
- Silence: It runs completely silent—no more loud engines disturbing your peace or
your neighbors. - Clean Power: It produces zero fumes or emissions, making it safe to use indoors
(like inside your van) and better for the environment. - Convenience: There's no fuel to buy, haul, or store, and it requires virtually no
maintenance.
Yes! It offers a powerful 3,600 W (3,6 kW) continuous output, with a peak power of 7,200 W. This is enough to easily handle most high-power appliances that are typically difficult to run off-grid, such as:
- Standard coffee makers (1,000 W)
- Hairdryers
- Welding equipment
- Power tools (for mobile workshops)
- E-heaters (depending on the model)
The unit comes with a built-in 2.4 kWh (kilowatt-hour) lithium battery. How long it lasts depends on what you run:
- If you're running just low-power items like lights, charging phones/laptops, and a
small 40W fridge, you could easily stay off-grid for up to 4 days (especially with solar
charging). - It could also power heavy tools and machinery like drills, electric pumps, and
spotlights for dozens of hours on its own.
Absolutely. The Zeliox Neo 3600 has a built-in MPPT solar charge controller. This means you can directly connect compatible solar panels to quickly and efficiently recharge the battery using the sun's power, keeping you self-sufficient while off-grid.
Yes, the system is modular and expandable. In case you need more power for longer trips or bigger appliances, you can easily connect up to three additional batteries to increase the total capacity to a massive 9.6 kWh.
It's flexible! You have three main charging options:
- While Driving: It can be charged quickly from your vehicle's alternator.
(with 120 A in 1h 50m) - Shore Power: You can plug it into a standard outlet (like at home or a campsite) for fast charging.
(with 50 A in 1h 07m) - Solar Power: Use solar panels when you're parked.
(with 30 A in 1h 50m)
Yes, it is designed for year-round use. The system features an integrated heating film that automatically keeps the battery at a safe operating temperature in very cold conditions. This protects the battery and ensures reliable power even in winter or high-altitude environments.
Not at all. The Zeliox Neo 3600 is designed for simplicity. You can monitor everything— battery status, power usage, charging speed—on the integrated 4.3” high-resolution color display. Plus, you can use a dedicated mobile app (via Bluetooth or 4G) to check and control your power system right from your smartphone.
Yes! While it is perfect for a wide range of mobile applications, its powerful and silent performance makes it even ideal for campers and off-grid living. Some standard use cases include:
- Mobile Workshops: Running power tools, lights, and chargers for tradespeople.
- Service Vehicles: Powering equipment and thermal management solutions for on- site professionals.
- Tiny Homes/Cabins: Providing clean, reliable backup or primary power.
The Zeliox Neo 4000 is designed to be compact for an all-in-one system of this power. The main unit's approximate dimensions are:
- Width: 490 mm (about 19.3 inches)
- Depth: 380 mm (about 15 inches)
- Height: 215 mm (about 8.5 inches)
The unit weighs approximately 43 kg (95 lbs). While it is a powerful piece of equipment, its compact, cube-like design makes it easier to tuck away under a bench, in a storage locker, or against a cabinet wall compared to managing separate battery banks, inverters, and chargers.
General questions
A battery is an energy storage device. In the case of the Zeliox units, it uses advanced lithium-ion technology to chemically store a large amount of electrical energy that can be released later to power your devices. It is essentially a "tank" for electricity.
An inverter is a component that changes DC power into AC power.
- DC (Direct Current): This is the type of power the battery stores (and is used for things like charging phones via USB).
- AC (Alternating Current): This is the standard electricity used in your home's wall sockets (for coffee makers, laptops, etc.).
The inverter is essential because without it, you couldn't plug in your regular household appliances—you'd only be able to charge low-voltage devices.
In this context, "power" can refer to two things:
- Output Power (Watts/W or Kilowatts/kW): This is the rate at which the unit can deliver electricity. It determines how big of an appliance you can run at one time. For example, an ECO with 3,600 W of power can run a 1,500 W hairdryer, but not a 4,000 W welder.
- Energy Capacity (kWh): This is the total amount of electricity the battery can store. (See next question).
kWh stands for kilowatt-hour and it is the standard unit for measuring battery energy capacity. It tells you how long the battery can run a device.
- Example: A 1 kWh battery can run a 1,000 Watt (1 kW) appliance for one hour, or a 100 Watt appliance for 10 hours.
- Options: The Zeliox line offers various models to fit different needs, often ranging from smaller units (e.g., around 1 kWh) for light weekend use up to larger units (e.g., 5 kWh or more) for extensive off-grid living or major backup power. Consult the product specification sheet for the exact capacity of the model you are considering.
The Zeliox products are part of the Eberspächer Group, which is a global automotive and power solutions supplier. While the main research and development for these systems comes from Europe, the manufacturing and assembly of this specialized lithium power systems take place at specialized manufacturing facilities, utilizing high-quality components and adhering to Eberspächer's strict quality control standards.
